Formulasi dan Aktivitas Antibakteri Krim Anti Acne Ekstrak Etanol Bawang Dayak (Eleutherine bulbosa (Mill.) Urb.) terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis

Bawang Dayak is one of the typical plants Borneo which efficacious as traditional medicine. Empirically knows to have properties for skin diseases such acne. This study aimed determine differences in physical anti-acne cream (Eleutherine bulbosa (Mill.) Urb.) bulb ethanol extract on day 0 and 7 its antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus epidermidis with Disc Diffusion (Kirby-Bauer) method. The formulation was made various concentrations extract, F1 (5%), F2 (10%), F3 (15%), F4 (20%). results showed that fulfilled all requirements homogeneity, pH, adhesion, dispersive ability. Furthermore, formulations had ability inhibit (20%) inhibition zones were 10.4±0.3 mm; 12.9±3.7 14.9±0.8 14.6±0.5 mm 0; 12.9±1.5 16.9±1.0 19.3±1.0 dan 20.3±1.4 7, means there an increase inhibitory power 7. shows potential cream, but further research needed improve composition stability so it can be developed product.
